A Family-Friendly Halloween Cocnert
Celebrate the spookiest time of the year with a thrilling and diverse program of iconic classical pieces, ever popular movie scores and fun activities for the whole family! Lead by baton-wielding music director Neal Gittleman, the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra welcomes the local community for their annual PhilharMonster Halloween spectacular, emphatically encouraging all who attend to dress up and prepare for an evening of chilling delights.
The evening begins with the action-packed Mission Impossible Theme, followed by American composer Robert Wendel's holiday-flavored 'Trick Or Treat'. The upbeat angular jazz of Williams' Cantina Band Music From Star Wars will then take center stage before the works of Copland, Mussorgskey, Ravel and Stookey. The evening comes to a humorous and light-hearted close with Gittleman's own arrangement of the Spongebob Squarepants Theme. Are you ready kids?! Aye aye captain!
Attendees should also make sure to arrive early for tricks, treats and interactive activities.
