Why see Beach Boys?

12 Sides Of Summer

It's hard to believe that these guys have been delighting the world to with their legendary surf infused rock and roll for five decades since releasing "Fun Fun Fun" but there you have it. 'America's Band' are still bringing their incredible sounds to venues across the world.

The Beach Boys officially broke up in 1998 shortly after Carl Wilson's death, however, Mike Love and Bruce Johnston maintained the rights to the name and continued to tour with their own band as The Beach Boys. In December 2011, the group's five remaining members - Brian, Mike, Al, Bruce, and David - reformed in celebration of their 50th anniversary of the group's creation, announcing a new album and a 50-date international tour. Since then, they've not looked back!

Slight Headache

Beach Boys at Meadowbrook

We were very excited to see this show. Classic songs by classic artists. All the artists were great. Prior to the intermission there were no issues, however, after the intermission the sound system performance was horrible. Several songs were plagued by feedback and distortion. Two of the songs vocals, 1 by Mike Love and 1 by John Stamos, frequently dropped out and they could not be heard. I gave this 4 stars because of the sound system. I don't know who is the culprit here. The band or Meadowbrook, but if the sound system had no issues, this would have been 5 stars. ... Read more

Beach Boys

4 stars ONLY because sadly only 2 originals in this tour) This local theater holds about 3000 seats. Beautiful old theatre that hosts a variety of shows. I have seen The Beach Boys numerous I’m in Pittsburgh. Thur the years at much larger venues & theaters. Yes only 2 originals in this tour but they came out & gave a fantastic show. The touring musicians were just incredible bring the Beach Boy sound musically & vocally. And the young drummer was a showman & entertainer. The vocals, harmonies & musicianship were first rate—outstanding!! Not too many musical groups preform a concert for 2 1/2 hours. Many groups play about 1 hr 20 minutes straight & done. The show was sold out! The background videos were enjoyable showing the ‘original’s ’ thru the last 60 years. Anyone there were treated to a great show. THANK YOU BEACH BOYS & ALL THE BEHIND CREW FOR TAKING US BACK IN TIME!! Think about a return dare next year!, ... Read more
